ROAD TOWN, TORTOLA - Nyammin’s must-have BVI rum cake is the Official Rum Cake of the 14th annual Christmas in July (XIJ). Christmas in July is one of the most awaited nautical events for boaters and beach enthusiasts (with a record participation of 500 boats and more than 6,000 people) and Nyammin’ is bringing a taste of BVI culture to the celebration this year. This year's celerbation is taking place on the 25th July at Pond Bay, Virgin Gorda.

A Taste of BVI Culture

The rum cakes are made in the British Virgin Islands using rum from the Callwood Rum Distillery which is the only operational rum distillery in the BVI.

Each 4-inch cake has a rich dark colour inspired by the rum cakes the Nyammin’ co-founders would eat growing up which were always dark in appearance. Dried fruit is soaked in the rum and was incorporated into the recipe for maximum flavour.

"In our household and many of our friends and family, a BVI Christmas is incomplete without black/rum cake," says Chanelle Harrigan, co-founder of Nyammin’. "We feel proud to bring a piece of our tradition to everyone at Christmas in July this year."

Visit the Nyammin’ Stall at XIJ

Attendees are invited to visit the Nyammin’ stall to experience a taste of BVI culture firsthand. In addition to retail purchases, free samples and giveaways will be available throughout the day.
